RETROPHANTASIA

Retrophantasia is a retro,  3D platformer heavily inspired by the likes of Pseudoregalia, Super Mario 64, and Celeste. 

I've been picking away at this project over the past couple of years as I became more familiar with my toolset, and I've decided to dedicate this Summer to developing a minimal viable product (yayy)! So far, I've gotten the majority of my intended basic mechanics down; there's a considerable amount of movement options (and tech!) for both new and seasoned platforming enjoyers. I'm pretty comfortable with the feel of the game so far, so I'll be spending the rest of this month making levels, a story, and tooons of art.

The Story So Far....

Our main character is a bunny girl names Sara who, simply put, got sucked into a video game. She's in search of her missing girlfriend whom disappeared under mysterious circumstances. I want a lot of the levels to be reminiscent of early N64 worlds, so each of these levels will actually be cartridges you can pick up around the game. I'm not entirely set on the progression of each level, but I'm leaning more toward the openness  and episodic nature of SM64.  Enemies, maybe? Bosses? Likely....

TL;DR if you like platformers with lots of tech, you'll proollly like this game :)
